Prince George RCMP say they found an illicit cannabis and magic mushroom operation – which included some holiday product – inside a number of shipping containers which were used as tunnels into the side of a hill.
The facility, located on the side of a local property, included an underground bunker with a cannabis oil extraction lab, “commercial grade” packing area and a growing area for psilocybin mushrooms, police said in a statement earlier this month.

The makeshift bunker was one of two drug operations dismantled in the northern B.C. city so far this month.
At a second property, police found cocaine, steroids and prescription pills such as Adderall, cialis and xanax.
It was at a third location where Mounties seized thousands of dollars worth of illicit drugs, which were “laid out like a pharmacy” offering narcotics to illegal cannabis.
In total, police seized 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, an abundance of prescription pills, hundreds of doses of steroids and thousands of doses of GHB – also known as the date rape drug – along with $35,600 in cash, a Dodge Ram 1500 and a 2020 GMC Canyon Denali.
Seven people were arrested, but charges have not been laid at this time.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
